Gabriela Rindfleisch, PA

My Story…

From a young age I knew I wanted to work in medicine. I grew up with severe allergies and asthma and was hospitalized many times as a child. From there, I had plenty of interaction with health care and admired everyone I encountered and I wanted to be just like them. As a young adult, I learned further about the role of the Physician Assistant and decided that was the career path I wanted to follow. The empathy, strong communication, and passion for medicine I experienced throughout this time became what I strive for as healthcare provider today.

Upon completion of my undergraduate degree at the University of Colorado Boulder, I joined Clinix as a Medical Coordinator to gain experience in health care. I worked directly with physician assistant, Cela Kobel, who became my mentor. I learned so much about medicine from her including the rewarding aspects of being able to help others and build strong patient-provider relationships. This was my first experience interacting with patients as a care giver. I was hooked!

My next stop was Idaho State University for the advanced education required for realizing my goal as a Physician Assistant. We focused on rural medicine and primary care of all ages during my studies. This taught me about the importance of treating underserved communities and preventative medicine. In addition, I further gained a passion for women’s health, internal medicine, and pediatrics. I also still have a strong interest in allergy and asthma considering my own health history and have gained experience in the treatment of these conditions including completing my master’s project on asthma.

When I graduated I knew primary care was my calling. I was thrilled to find an opportunity at Clinix where I was once a patient and Medical Coordinator. Clinix has such wonderful patients, providers, and staff. I am truly honored to be working here again!

In my free time I enjoy the beautiful Colorado scenery. Born and raised around Denver, I have always enjoyed hiking, camping, and skiing. Some of my other hobbies include calligraphy, weight lifting, and photography.
