What is Botox?
BOTOX Cosmetic is a purified protein that is administered in a simple injection to temporarily reduce the appearance of facial wrinkles. More than 9 million BOTOX procedures have been administered in the US since 2002. This is one of the many services we offer.
What are the benefits of Botox?
The most common benefit of BOTOX is softening of facial wrinkles to complete resolution of dynamic wrinkles (lines created by muscle movement), and possibly fewer tension or migraine headaches. Who would benefit from Botox?
Anyone who has frown lines, forehead lines, crow’s feet (smile lines) and/ or lip lines may benefit from BOTOX. Many chronic headache sufferers, especially those with frontal tension headaches or migraine, may be able to reduce the intensity or frequency of their headaches.
What can a patient expect?
You can expect minimal to brief discomfort with the botox injection, and minimal to no “downtime” (minimal to no recovery). The effects are apparent in as little as 2 days and on average last about 3 months. Some patients get effects for 4-5 months.
What is the expected cost/potential insurance coverage?
