My Story…
Life has taken me many wonderful and exciting places from New York City to rural Alaska, while I worked as a nurse in Women’s Services and Labor and Delivery. My time away from work was filled with travel abroad, where I soaked up new and different cultures and fed an innate desire for adventure. Born and raised in Highlands Ranch, I set off for greener pastures (or maybe just pastures) and attended Baylor University in Waco, Texas. I worked in social services for several years before deciding to go to nursing school. I completed a Postbaccalaureate program to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing; some might say it was so I could attend my beloved alma mater again! After living and working as a nurse all over the country, I returned home to Colorado and attended Regis University where I earned a Master of Science in Nursing. Through all of life’s journeys I have found tremendous joy in the relationships that I have made along the way. As Oprah Winfrey said, “the biggest adventure you can ever take is to live the life of your dreams”. I used to equate adventure with a one-way plane ticket, or an overseas trip; now I have the privilege work as a Family Nurse Practitioner and serve the community that raised me — what a beautiful, gratifying adventure.
I truly enjoy the many aspects of Family Medicine where I can provide high-quality medical care for families and patients of all ages, with preventative care needs, short-term illnesses or injury and those with chronic illnesses and medical complexities. I am passionate about helping you achieve your health and wellness goals and am excited to join you on your journey. My goal is to ensure that you feel heard, comfortable and empowered with your health so that you can live a fulfilling and healthy life. I will always have a special place in my heart for the care of women, as I spent more than a decade helping mothers through pregnancy, labor, delivery and postpartum. I am passionate about helping women feel the best they can, through all of life’s stages. I strive to partner with you to promote your health and wellbeing, and together make a treatment plan that meets your needs.
When I am not working, you will find me with my husband and our two beautiful kids on some kind of adventure! As a family of Colorado natives, we love and enjoy all the things that Colorado has to offer, and we are usually looking forward to our next trip!
